Namibia is a country of arid desert landscapes, warm vibrant colours, and bright blue skies. The immensity of the land is enhanced by the limited population and the few roads that connect the sparse towns.

Hi everyone,
I hope that 2023 is going well for you so far and ...
At last, something positive from all that time when no-one could travel anywhere – the laterallife team have been busy behind the scenes working on our new website.
Kasbah Bab Ourika is a long time personal favourite of mine and most of those who we send to Morocco to and experience it for themselves and love it as much as I do. Imagine waking up in the morning to fresh clean mountain air and breathtaking views like this! You can see a current family trip to Morocco here.
In Portugal most Brits head straight for the central Algarve, to the well-known hot spots of Vilamoura, Quinta do Lago or Vale do Lobo. These are great places for getting to the beach, hanging out in busy tourist-filled restaurants and golf, and of course Lisbon, probably the finest capital city in Europe, but there’s an awful lot more to Portugal.
After a year of postponed and cancelled holidays and adventures, many of us definitely feel the gloom settling in and Russell’s words ring truer than ever.
For some true travel inspiration I would like to highlight some of the amazing places I visited in India during my last visit in late 2019. India never fails to fascinate in all its vibrant glory.
Peponi hotel is a small family run “lateral retreat” situated on the 12 km Shela beach. The hotel was opened by the Korschen family in 1967 and that is still wonderfully the situation.
Surely the most European of South American cities, BA as it’s known is a feast for the eyes. You really will see locals dancing the Tango in the street and there’s lots more to see including Eva Peron’s family tomb in Recoleta Cemetery
The highlight of this was the famous Gibb River Road journey, which we have executed for many families all of whom have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge and rewards of driving on unsealed roads across the famous Kimberley.
