An Indonesian adventure – Bali and the Komodos

Ian Priest: We have been on many family adventures with Laterallife over the years, many for extended periods .

This time was a shorter trip – just over two weeks in Indonesia .

The first ten days in Bali , firstly in a very special villa on the beach near Canggu and secondly inland to Ubud where we went white water rafting and cycling down a volcano.

The final three days we had our own traditional boat with our own crew to explore the Komodo Islands .

Wow what a fantastic way to finish our adventure swimming with manta rays and numerous colourful fish.

We discovered that the boat had no alcohol on board so we contacted Nick in the UK who, in true Laterallife style, called his local team and – abracadabra! – a speed boat arrives with champagne, wine and beer – Nick couldn’t imagine three days on a boat without a drink and neither could we!!! Lovely way to finish our hols as we head off back to Blighty .

Thanks to you, Nico and the wider team for another special trip. Virginia Priest:

What a wonderful experience and terrific way to experience the Komodo Islands.

The boat was comfortable and the crew so accommodating and fun.

The guide was spot on and took us to incredible spots for snorkelling.

From friends who went diving they felt snorkelling was better as you could see the bigger picture.

One thing we all enjoyed on the boat was having no access to any wifi!
