Sri Lanka – Culture, Tea, Hiking & Coast

Well, that was another spectacular trip.

Lush green paddy fields, afternoon tea overlooking the surfers catching waves, hikes through tea plantations, waterfalls and up giant craggy rocks, heavenly curries, endless egg hoppers and THAT moon pool at Weligama.

Can’t wait to tell you all about it.

Half term adventure: bush, beach and culture in Tanzania and Mozambique.

We had an amazing time in Tanzania and Mozambique, thank you.

I think the highlight was the Selous. We loved Siwandu and they treated us so well – I was really impressed with the service and of course the camp is incredible.

We saw fantastic wildlife. Absolutely unforgettable and even better than we were expecting.

I can’t speak highly enough of everyone at Siwandu. Mozambique was beautiful and very chilled out. Ibo was a special place and our children loved the pool and enjoyed the local history tour.

Albert played football with the local boys and loved it. The Dhow safari was a unique experience and we were blown away by the night sky in our first night camping on an island – we have never seen so many stars (even compared to the desert in the Middle East or in South America).

The turquoise sea was stunning too and we loved eating fresh fish (best crayfish ever).

I think the itinerary was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation – it was a fantastic experience and has really given us a fascination for Africa.

We have some amazing memories that will stay with us forever.

Thanks for organising everything and for your prompt responses and support when we had flight problems, which made a big difference.
