We had a wonderful holiday in South America, starting in a lovely quirky hotel in Paraty, Brazil then on to Rio. What a place, and the Arpoador Hotel was a real find, right on Ipananema beach, unlike all the other swankier hotels which are on the other side of a dual carriageway.
