We had a wonderful holiday in South America, starting in a lovely quirky hotel in Paraty, Brazil then on to Rio. What a place, and the Arpoador Hotel was a real find, right on Ipananema beach, unlike all the other swankier hotels which are on the other side of a dual carriageway. The Iguazu Falls were quite spectacular. After exploring northwestern Argentina we flew to Quito, Ecuador, which we loved, then into the Amazon jungle, which was challenging at times. It was good to relax at Hacienda Zuleta at the end of our trip where we rode on horseback to see Condors and a waterfall. Thank you laterallife for organising all this for us.
